Introduction:
The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) at VSS College, Jalna plays a pivotal role in preparing students for successful careers by connecting them with prospective employers. The cell’s mission is to enhance student employability through comprehensive training, internships, and placement opportunities.
Objectives:
- Foster strong partnerships between academia and industry.
- Enhance employability skills through specialized training programs.
- Organize internships, industrial visits, and placement drives for students.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Organize workshops and training programs on soft skills, technical skills, and aptitude.
- Facilitate internship and placement opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with industries for recruitment.
- Assist students with resume building, career counseling, and interview preparation.
Key Functions:
- Conducting placement drives (on-campus and off-campus).
- Managing student databases and recruiter details.
- Organizing career counseling sessions.
- Updating students with relevant job openings.
Annual Plan for Training and Placement Activities
Training Programs:
- Soft Skills Training (August–October): Workshops on communication, leadership, and team-building.
- Technical Skill Development (September–December): Sessions on programming, project management, and industry tools.
- Aptitude Tests (Monthly): Sessions for enhancing logical reasoning, numerical ability, and verbal skills.
Industry Interaction:
- Guest Lectures & Seminars (Every quarter): Featuring industry experts from IT, Finance, and Manufacturing.
- Industrial Visits (November): Hands-on learning experiences at local industries.
Placement Drives:
- Campus Placements (January–March): On-campus recruitment from IT, Finance, and Education sectors.
- Off-Campus Placements (Continuous): Regular updates on off-campus job openings.

Placement Policy Document
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum attendance of 75% in training programs.
- No academic backlogs at the time of placement drives.
- Participation in at least two mock interview sessions.
Selection Process:
- Students must participate in all stages of the recruitment process once registered.
- Withdrawal from any placement process without prior notice will lead to disqualification from future drives.
Code of Conduct:
- Students must attend interviews dressed professionally.
- Failure to attend an interview without a valid reason may result in exclusion from future placements.
Company Visit Protocol:
- Students should maintain punctuality and professional behavior.
- Carry resumes and necessary documents during company interactions.
